I’ve been thinking about blessing…
I do not cease to give thanks for you…
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him,
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened,
that you may know the hope to which He has called you,
what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints,
and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe.
Ephesians 1:16-19 ESV
May you be blessed with loving family members, who surround you with a warm blanket of protection—from the cares and concerns of this broken world.
May you be blessed with loyal friends, who will race to your side to support you—especially when you face adversity.
May you be blessed with sensitive comforters, who will provide a safe harbor for you—who will listen patiently without criticism and gently help lift your burdens.
May you be blessed with stellar role models, who give LOVE generously and receive LOVE graciously—creating a compelling lifestyle of Christian maturity for you to imitate.
May you be blessed with wise counselors, who tenderly help you realize you are not God—and your will is not the center of the universe.
May you be blessed with gifted mentors, who stimulate you, inspire you to stretch and pursue new challenges—who know what you can do and enthusiastically affirm your progress.
May you be blessed with a band of courageous warriors—brothers and sisters who lift up Jesus as the mighty Champion and strong Defender for all to see—who by their fortitude stir you to trust God more deeply and serve Him more passionately—everyday—for the rest of your life.
—Amen—
