HOLLY DelHousaye

Holly DelHousaye (pronounced del-who-say) has been formally mentoring women since 1999. She designed a curriculum to provide a helpful structure for an in-depth mentoring experience whereby both the mentor and the mentee are enriched and blessed by the relationship.

At age 12, Holly personally received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. This decision redirected her entire life. She grew up in the Iowa cornfields but dreamed of someday living in Southern California. At 18, her dream became a reality. She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1967.

Her first job as a file clerk at Kemper Insurance in downtown Los Angeles produced an opportunity to become the assistant to the West Coast branch manager. During her time at Kemper, she met and married a young junior high pastor named Darryl DelHousaye in 1970.

Darryl went on to graduate from Talbot Seminary and together they moved to Felton, California in 1974 to serve First Baptist Church of San Lorenzo Valley. In 1981 the DelHousayes moved to Scottsdale to serve Scottsdale Bible Church.
In 1992, after raising two sons and working in many church ministries, Holly looked to God to refocus her life. She served for five years as assistant to the vice-dean for Phoenix Programs for The University of Arizona College of Medicine. Also from 1992 to 1999, Holly developed a team ministry at Scottsdale Bible Church directed to business and professional women.

In the following years, Darryl became president of Phoenix Seminary and Holly worked alongside him to develop the school. She created a center for women and also raised awareness for the school by initiating a service and fund-raising organization called Women of Momentum.

Today, Holly is continuing to mentor and write devotionally for the purpose of stimulating growth in the vibrant community of faith surrounding us here in the Valley of the Sun.
