How do you feel about opportunities? Are you tempted to manipulate situations to create opportunities for yourself? Do you believe God is really behind the opportunities that come your way? Have you learned to recognize His fingerprint?
A surprising pattern emerged as I observed God’s dealings with me. When an unexpected opportunity to glorify Him appeared, it most certainly deserved to be explored. Why? Because Isaiah 55:8 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord!” In my experience, I can count on an unexpected opportunity as distinct evidence of God’s fingerprint!
I also noticed that His opportunities are cloaked with both risk (uncertainty) and excitement (adventure). I may wrestle with God over what to do but eventually to move forward I must trust and jump! This is when I discover wonder of wonders—these qualities combine together to form a unique kind of spiritual exhilaration (a rush of great happiness)—yet more evidence of the fingerprint of God!
Wait—watch—consider—jump! And then, as if exhilaration is not enough, I am also guaranteed phenomenal personal growth. My definition of growth is an acrostic:

Esther did go into the king at great risk and her life was spared. Her opportunity came and she jumped! Is God sending you an opportunity? Maybe it is time to jump!
